Comment: While they were asking questions related to intake, 2-3 staff members stood in a half-circle around my chair. I became anxious and couldn’t answer, so they moved in closer, touched my shoulders, emphasized the importance that I answer. I began shaking and leaned away and shook my head. Although they tried for about ten more minutes to talk to me, they became visibly more and more frustrated and put me in an isolation unit (mattress, metal toilet/sink, cameras), snapped at me when i knocked on the door, acted very impatient and irritated when i stood at the door and watched the clock (quietly). they never listened when i expressed my needs, and acted very annoyed when i expressed fear. The whole night there was a teen boy strapped to a stretcher right outside my door. He was very quiet and polite but it was a scary sight. I left first thing in the morning and will never, ever go back. They have nowhere near enough resources to actually treat people and restrain patients unnecessarily.
