Comment: I had a pretty horrible experience here. It was during Christmastime, so that’s definitely a factor, but I met no good staff members. We had three group sessions while I stayed, and two of them were substance abuse related, something I did not struggle with. My psychiatrist was a joke, and mixed me up with another patient on several occasions and told my parents I had a drug problem when I in fact did not. I was pressured to go on medication the first day I was there, and witnessed another patient being forcibly restrained because he did not want to take his medication and wanted to find other ways to handle his illness. I became physically ill and passed out while I was there, and most of the staff did not believe there was a problem and thought I was faking it. The staff ignored my gender issues and did not use my preferred names or pronouns. They also ignored my thought that I might have a personality disorder and attributed everything to a recent breakup I had, which in actuality was not the reason I tried to kill myself. Butler was horrible.
