Comment: Hospital was dirty. The floor in the common room was constantly sticky and never cleaned during the week I was here. The common room was the only place patients could hang out and the TV was on from 6:30 AM until bedtime. Patients were allowed to have food and beverages brought to them but they were kept in a locked kitchen and required staff to get them. It was either freezing or really hot temperature wise. Patients were not allowed to use pens, only pencils and colored pencils and crayons that you could sign out and use with supervision. If you woke up early before the morning shift arrived around 7:30, you weren’t allowed to sign anything out to occupy your time. Staff was nice but relatively useless. And they were not equipped to deal with patients who were out of control, which didn’t make me feel very safe. Food was mediocre but edible. You were allowed to go outside in a small courtyard if you had the privileges to do so, but most people didn’t because it was January when I was there and too cold. Overall I got the help I needed, but it was a bad experience.
