Comment: Very new so nice facilities. Private rooms and bathrooms, and amazing food. Group therapy for Mood Disorders and for Older Person’s Mental Health. Sometimes the group’s were slack and basic but some were very good. Unfortunately on a 3 week rotation so if you stay longer you’re just getting repeated groups on various topics (ie. Sleep, Cycle of Anxiety, Challenging Thoughts, Core Beliefs, etc.) The nursing staff were very kind and supportive, though it could have used more actual Mental Health Nurses, as some Enrolled Nurses were at loss as to what to do during panic attacks or when I had suicidal thoughts, or even why people self harmed. The doctor I had was very nice and professional, and there were a strong focus on what happens when you’re discharged, which is very useful. I was there over Christmas/New Year and there weren’t groups or appointments, which made it difficult for a few people. Altogether it is a good hospital. I was admitted 3 days after the ward opened so they’re still working out some kinks. It was a good place for me during a hard time, just maybe needs some more intensive stuff.
