Comment: Absolutely horrible place for anyone who is struggling with suicidal feelings, in a crisis or seeking help in general. While no place like this is comfortable, dirty armchairs cramped into a small room is horrible.
The staff is very hit or miss- does not treat the people admitted like human beings. I had to ask multiple times for anything whatsoever before it was acknowledged, despite the people sitting at the desk doing nothing. The staff was disrespectful to me about my preferred name every time I have been there. There is always pee everywhere, and it is never cleaned up in a timely fashion. Staff does not know how do de-escalate or handle situations in general. Staff is only equipped to make sandwiches and cup noodles, there is no kitchen it seems.
When I admitted myself while suicidal, they discharged me and contacted my emergency contact to come get me without telling me and WITHOUT HELPING ME simply because I wasn’t “acting up”. In my three visits to this place, the doctors were horrible. One doctor was incredibly rude about my diagnoses. I am disabled and she told me I would “have to get over it”. I left feeling worse mentally and physically than I came every time. Horrible place.
