Comment: I went in late one night to get a new Zoloft prescription. They kept me in the freezing waiting room for six hours before I could see a psychiatrist. At this point, I was having a complete panic attack because they wouldn’t let me leave or get my things out of the locker they made me put my purse in.
I talked to the psychiatrist for maybe 15 minutes. After, she said she was going to keep me overnight. I protested, but I was still taken back by nurses, had my clothes taken away from me, strip searched, and thrown into a room with no TV, books or anything while still having a severe panic attack.
The next morning I was woken up by two police officers who told me they were taking me to another hospital for a 72 hour hold. I begged to talk to the doctor again, but they wouldn’t let me and proceeded to put me in handcuffs and shove me into a police car.
