Comment: I hated it. I was out to staff as trans and my correct pronouns weren’t used even once. I was told I should accept it because they “weren’t used to it” but that’s no excuse for putting forth no effort over an entire four days. I was also told that changing the name on my door briefly for parents visits was “too confusing for staff and other patients” and when this made me start crying I got no sympathy.
In addition to that when I was first admitted the man who was questioning me almost outed me to my parents and asked me within the first five minutes of our one on one talk if I was gonna be getting “the sex reassignment surgery”, which is, in my opinion, very inappropriate and truly none of his business considering I wasn’t there for anything relating to that.
