Comment: I came to this hospital on the recommendation of my pyschiatrist and my family and boyfriend had came with me for support. I was taken back to the ward without being told where I was going and that I would get a chance to say good bye to my family. I never got to.

I was very anxious during the intake process and kept asking my nurse if i could say goodbye to my family, but she didn’t tell me until they were sending me to bed (an hour after the first time I’d asked) that my family had been told to leave right after I came back with the nurse. They knew this the whole time and refused to tell me or answer my questions.

Several of my items from my bag were stolen, including money that my nervous mother had insisted I bring. I can only assume it was stolen by someone on the nursing staff because I saw them take it back to the station and directly to the room where personal belongings are stored.

The first day nurse assigned to my room was very kind and probably the only good thing about my stay. I was suffering with very bad social anxiety and had been told there were one on one therapy sessions at this hospital, but they only had group. I was also mistakenly given a medication that knocked me out for the better part of a day. I know I wasn’t out for the entirety of it, but I only have vague memories of what happened. I don’t have any mental illness that would warrant being given something this strong. My pyschiatrist misread the name of one of the medications on my list and it was corrected after I refused to take it again and demanded to see her to ask about it.
