Comment: In 2014, I was admitted after an attempt. During my time there I started having very high fevers. I was no longer in a suicidal state, and requested medical attention. My high fevers led to waking in the middle of the night and sleepwalking into the hallway completely naked. That was beyond humiliating.
I repeatedly requested medical attention and until I had reached a temp of 106 I was not treated. I even wrote on paper to make signs that would be read by the camera that I was requesting medical attention. After they discovered that I had become septic due to kidney stones, they finally seemed to “believe” me. I ended up in emergency surgery and stopped breathing as I was going into surgery. They need to realize that patients can’t fake fevers.
Those who were there just seemed to be passing the time, there was no true treatment to help people not end up back in the situation that had landed them there.
