Comment: I did not not choose to come here and I recommend no one ever do so. I was brought here by police car from another crisis center which I was brought to handcuffed in a police car (I was high and hallucinating). I was at HCPC 8 days. It was hell on earth. I wasn’t treated like a person. I wasn’t allowed outside the unit. My doctor was absolutely awful. He was so rude to me and when I didn’t want to leave the room because I wanted the doctor to tell me when I could get out a tech (I suppose that’s the position this man was) came and lifted me out of my seat.
There were fights and then you would have to go to your room and on the intercom it would say “special teams, special teams”. The only way I could get out of that hell hole was from the doctor because the judge gave power of to the doctor. It was horrible. By the time I got to to HCPC I had been beaten up pretty badly from Ben Taub the crisis center… but that’s for another review
