Comment: When I was transported here after a suicide attempt at age 18, the nurses were super loving and kind to me. If it were just them, I’d give the hospital a great review. They were very gentle and seemed to really care.
The problem was the psychologist. I met her after 24 hours and she took one look at me and her whole face radiated disgust. I’d never been in a psychiatric care facility before and I immediately started crying, to which she looked even more disgusted. My parents came in and she looked at them and asked them what they wanted to do about me. I was 18. They shouldn’t have been there at all, and they were the reason I was there in the first place. When they said they didn’t know, she literally rolled her eyes and sat down and asked me questions. I already didn’t want to talk to her but I made an effort, only to have her cut me off after I’d said only a few words. It was humiliating and she treated me like a lesser human being. Towards the end she asked me what was wrong with me after I dissolved into tears and couldn’t even talk anymore because she was being so rude. Never ever go here if you can help it.
