Comment: It was an incredibly restrictive environment. I was told where I could be, when I could be there, and how to go about getting there, at all times. Requests for privacy or time outdoors was always declined. I underwent physical medical abuse while I was here, despite always being compliant through my entire arrival and stay. I was denied medical devices I needed and had written medical permission for.
I witnessed a young black girl being dragged out of a room by multiple white adults for writing her name on a table, and she was refused her right to contact her legal guardian before being put into solitary confinement. This happened while a white staff member talked down to her. I never saw her again.
Upon leaving, I felt traumatized, and overall much worse both mentally and physically. If you have any choice in the matter at all, do not go here. This place made my mental illness much worse, via abuse and trauma, and did absolutely nothing to help me whatsoever.
